Save 1 Square Metre of Forest for Orangutans

This project purchases forest habitats in Borneo that are vital to orangutans’ survival. This land is protected from poachers, palm oil plantations, illegal loggers and miners, creating a large, protected and interconnected orangutan habitat ‘sanctuary’, keeping wild orangutans safe and creating a much needed sanctuary for the release of rehabilitated orangutans from the Care Centre. With so little protected forest remaining, and many national parks off limits to ex-captive animals, this project offers a real and tangible future for those animals once they return to the wild.

Feed a Rescued Animal for a Day

Make a world of difference to rescued farmed animals by providing an essential meal - sweet smelling hay for the cows, ponies, sheep and goats; nutritious carrots, pumpkins, apples and more for the pigs; life-saving formula to bottle feed lambs; as well as leafy greens and succulent treats for the chickens, ducks and bunnies.

Give Aboriginal Communities Access to an E-learning Hub for a Day

Give young Aboriginal people access to learning hubs and free public Wi-Fi for communications and conducting necessary everyday business. Many households don't have a computer or even a reliable power supply, so learning hubs are crucial for young people to develop their IT and literacy skills. With English being a third or fourth language, access to online resources can reduce linguistic, geographic and cultural isolation. It enables community members to stay in touch with relatives and supports self-directed learning, opening up employment and other future opportunities.
