Antique George Davidson Clear Glass Gondola Boat Bowl
Shaped like a Venetian gondola, this antique George Davidson pressed glass bowl was crafted in England in the late Victorian period and features the highly collectible War of the Roses pattern. Its flowing lines and botanical detailing reflect the emerging Art Nouveau movement, bringing a sense of softness and romance to the piece.
Perched on hobnail feet, the boat-shaped bowl feels both delicate and well-grounded, sitting comfortably styled on a shelf, coffee table or vanity.
The registered design number Rd 212684 is marked on the base, confirming its authenticity as a piece produced by George Davidson, one of Britain’s most respected glassmakers of the time.
This design originated within Davidson’s Pearline range, produced between 1889 and 1914. While Pearline examples are typically found in coloured opalescent glass, this clear pressed glass version offers a more understated and versatile look that pairs beautifully with both modern and vintage interiors.
Whether styled as a centrepiece, used to hold jewellery or simply admired for its distinctive form, this is a piece with history, character and quiet elegance.
